PyMOL is designed to be driven using a three button “wheel” mouse. However, an alternate two-button mode is supported. To active it, select “2 Button Viewing Cycle” or the “2 Button Editing Cycle” from the Mouse menu.
With “2 Button Viewing Cycle”, when the user clicks on the Mouse Mode indicator in the Viewer window, the mouse configuration will toggle back and forth between “2 Button Viewing” and “2 Button Selecting”.
With “2 Button Editing Cycle”, when the user clicks on the Mouse Mode indicator in the Viewer window, the mouse configuration will cycle through “2 Button Viewing”, “2 Button Selecting”, and “2 Button Editing”.
It is also possible to select each of these modes directly from the Mouse menu.
